Our Mission Statement
The Quairading Community Resource Centre provides in a professional manner to our community and its surrounding districts the opportunity to enhance education, employment, training, business enterprise and leisure, thereby maximising regional growth and maintaining services. We are a friendly local hub equipped with modern facilities and offering many and varied services. We are a not-for-profit community owned and operated entity and are part of a state wide network built on one of Western Australia’s longest running and most successful regional community service programs, the Telecentre program. The Western Australian Community Resource Network (WACRN) is comprised of over 100 rural, remote and regional Community Resource Centres. CRCs are contracted by the Department of Regional Development (DRD) to provide access to government and community services and information, and undertake community, business and economic development activities. The WACRN is supported by the Department of Regional Development (DRD) through funding from the State Government's Royalties for Regions program. |

Our History |
The Quairading Community Resource Centre was officially opened as a Telecentre on 6th March 1998 by the Deputy Premier of the day – Hon. Hendy Cowan.
Our inaugural Coordinator was Ms Anne Aitken and our inaugural Chair of the Management Committee was Mr Peter Dawson. We have grown from a team of just one Coordinator and Management Committee to a cast of many. In March 2011 we became a Community Resource Centre and later that year relocated to a brand new purpose built centre that we manage on behalf of the Shire of Quairading. |
